Inventure Design

Necia E. Bonner, Associate and Senior Designer, graduated from the University of Houston and is a licensed interior designer as well as a LEED accredited professional.

Necia enjoys the constant challenge of design and says, “Design invades every aspect of your life and it was just a natural fit for me.”

As a dual left and right brain thinker, Necia brings a good mix of both creativity and reality to her method of design. “I am very aware of deadlines but I can still incorporate a sense of fun and adventure into the design process,” Necia says. 

To remain current, Necia practices as an independent artist and is constantly reading and finding ways to be inspired about design through everyday life. This allows her to have a broad capacity to design for all tastes and avoid the temptation to default into a signature style. “It’s important to design specifically for the client, and as a designer, I am charged with being the expert that helps them realize their personal vision,” Necia says.

Necia is also very active in the local Houston design community serving as Programs Chair on the IIDA Houston City Center Council and she was awarded the IIDA Texas/Oklahoma Chapter Volunteer of the Year award in 2010.
